It’s time to celebrate our four-legged friends at Pride Pooches.

West Park, Jarrow, will play host to a fun afternoon where we can all celebrate our four-legged friends with pride.

Pride Pooches is a family event with market stalls, food vendors, kids rides and more.

We’ll even have an arena for you to showcase your pooches in style and you can win a rosette or two. The categories are:

• Best Fancy Dress – if it comes to a tie-break, extra points will be awarded for home-made costumes
• Waggiest Tale – bring along biscuits, a ball or whatever makes your dog the happiest
• Best dressed dog and owner – matching outfits are a must
• Handsomest Dog 
• Prettiest Bitch
• Dog the judges would want to take home – this is the star prize for the day.

The dog competition starts at 2.00pm and you’ll need to register your dog before entering the arena. Head to the Out North East stall.

Bring the family and make a day of it as we celebrate Pride Pooches.

PLEASE NOTE: Pride Pooches will be a fun day for everyone but it can be a little exciting for our four-legged buddies. To make sure everyone has a safe, fun and happy time, please make sure your dogs are on leads and wearing a muzzle if required. 

Travel: Unfortunately there is no parking onsite however the nearest metro station is Jarrow which is only an eight minute walk away and dogs are welcome to travel.
